
Violin
JakArt School of Art opens violin lessons. We proudly present to you our violin teachers:
Heri Sunarta
We call him Pak Heri. He was born in Yogyakarta on January 31. He began studying violin since 1987 under the guidance of Yulinda Anwar in Yogyakarta Musical High School and graduated after four years with an award. In 1991 he started his musical career in Jakarta by joining several chamber music and orchestra including Philharmonic Indonesian and Jakarta Symphonia Orchestra. In 1993 he joined the Music Camp in Melbourne, Australia, and one year later he joined the ASEAN Youth Music Workshop in Brunei Darussalam. Pak Heri got a scholarship to study violin under the guidance of IG Nice Wiswakarmawa where he increased his violin music skills. Currently Pak Heri is one of the best violinists in Jakarta and also a leader in some famous orchestras in Indonesia. In early 2007, Pak Heri started joining the JakArt School as a senior violin teacher.
Pak Heri’s vision and mission in teaching violin is to share knowledge in music and teach students to play music well and properly with emphasis on discipline and responsibility.
Nazila Izzet
We call her Ibu Lala. She was born in Semarang on September 14. She studied violin formally for the first time at Yogyakarta Musical High School with R. Joehant and continued with Pipin Garibaldi. Then, she continued her formal studies at the Music Department of the Indonesian Institute of the Arts Yogyakarta (ISI) under the guidance of Frits Wagenvoorde. After that she studied violin under the guidance of IG Nice Wiswakarma and Jean Paul Minalli – Bella.
In 1992, Ibu Lala joined the ASEAN Youth Music Workshop organized by the ASEAN Committee in Brunei Darussalam and the European Community – Indonesian Music Camp organized by the EU – Indo Gout in Yogyakarta.
She started her career as a violin teacher at the Cressendo School of Music in 1996 until 1997, then at the Cikini College for the next two years. She also has become a violin teacher in Bina Bangsa School in 2008 – 2010. Since 2002 until today Ibu Lala is active as a violin teacher in the JakArt School.
Ibu Lala’s vision and mission in teaching violin is giving the best of what we can give without expecting anything.
